YEAR 2026
LOCATION Boise, ID

2026s event is critical for Boise Entrepreneur Week.

For over a decade, BEWs nonprofit organizer Trailhead has been the hub for Boises business community.

But after a location move and high-profile leadership changes, that tumult needed a reframe as an upgrade.

And their flagship event Boise Entrepreneur Week is the biggest opportunity to make that happen, with a brand-new approach for 2026 and beyond.

Mockup Scene

BEW brings in over 2,000 attendees every year, but the Trailhead team was unsure of how it was viewed by the broader business community.

The work began with an in-depth brand audit. Through audience polling and individual team member interviews, we uncovered two striking details:

  1. Most people thought Trailhead was a sponsor of BEW, not the organizers.
  2. Most people were unaware that attending BEW was free.

These discoveries formed a crucial inflection point in our strategy development.

Our mission statement: BEW should feel like it wouldnt work in any other city.

A large-scale brand refresh was the first step, taking inspiration from Boise’s angular downtown streets, and a new website that boasts full integration with their event CMS.

Spatial design became perhaps the single biggest touchpoint to be refreshed this year. Photo ops, striking signage, interactive art installations, and detailed plans for utilizing the event space to its fullest formed the basis for the most interactive BEW ever.

Marketing got a ground-floor revamp. From managing a new social media team to organizing a guerilla poster campaign alongside BSU students, BEW has never been this visible.

Group

“Trailhead carries over a decade’s worth of stories from Boise’s startup ecosystem. To my wonder, David learned them in a single summer.

He recognized the full history of our organization from a perspective that we often can’t occupy ourselves, and articulated it back to us better than we could have said it.

Entrepreneurship at its heart is good storytelling and problem solving, and working with David felt like a personal masterclass in both.”
